  Harefield Hospital has been running successful courses on Cardiac CT since 2004. The courses are offered at various levels and organised by an experienced cardiac radiologist with Level 3 certification in cardiac CT along with other expert faculty comprising of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and physicists. The courses are suitable for radiographers, radiologists, cardiologists, and other medical professionals depending upon their level. Aim is to provide comprehensive understanding on techniques and applications of cardiac CT along with clinical aspects of heart disease relevant to Cardiac CT. Both Level 1 and 2 offer sufficient hands-on training towards SCCT/BSCI certification.

  Courses run by Dr CA Roobottom (Radiologist) and Dr G Morgan-Hughes (Cardiologist).  Both have been performing cardiac CT for over 5 years, are SCCT level 3 accredited and jointly have the largest Cardiac CT experience in the UK. Courses are run 6 times a year and are attended by delegates from all over the world. Both are performed with dedicated cardiac CT application specialists on dedicated workstations in the Peninsula Radiology Academy and are supplemented by clinical exposure including calcium scoring, retrospective scanning and prospective (low dose) scanning on state of the art equipment. Two levels are offered.

  Four day course focusing on angiogram acquisition, technique and indications. 3 days of workstation experience with exposure to at least 50 cases. Includes live cases in the scanner.

  Targeted to specifically address SCCT accreditation numbers and covers at least 100 cardiac CT angiograms and 50 non-enhanced scans. All aspects of cardiac CT are covered including scanning in the acute situation, graft studies and grown-up congenital heart disease. This course is officially accredited to level 2 by the SCCT.
• Southampton General Hospital - CARDIAC MRI FOR RADIOGRAPHERS
  Southampton General Hospital has a Siemens Avanto MRI scanner dedicated to cardiac imaging, and state of the art lecture theatre and conference facilities.
  
  A full range of cardiac MR studies are performed including a large cohort of congenital patients and a wide referral base for both adenosine and dobutamine stress MRI.  This provides a wealth of knowledge from a large multidisciplinary team. It is an ideal location to provide a solid grounding for any radiographer wishing to start out in cardiac MRI.
