General Course Information:

This course has been developed with Dr. Carl Roobottom and Dr. Gareth Morgan-Hughes. They have a wide variety of Cardiac CT experience from the early days with a 4-slice scanner, through LightSpeed 16 to today's LightSpeed VCT XT and continue to develop the technique. As Consultant Radiologist and Cardiologist respectively, they have been Delivering CT Cardiac training courses together with GE since 2004, the longest established training of its kind in the UK. Accreditation in cardiac CT is becoming important following the ACC (American College of Cardiology) and the AHA (American Heart Association) clinical competency statement on Cardiac Imaging with Computed Tomography in 2007.

During this course you will be provided the opportunity to meet the majority of criteria to fulfill the level II Certification requirements of the ACC/AHA. The course will also be accredited through the SCCT (Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography). Dr Roobottom and Dr Morgan-Hughes are both level III accredited with the SCCT.
